"
Nocturnal Pinks Photo Sculpture"
When I arrived home at midnight one night, I was struck by the
water color effect on these flowers created by backlighting from
the porch light. Of course I grabbed my camera! I enhanced the
image to recapture the water color effect that had enticed me to
photograph them. I printed it as 26 canvas images each measuring
12” square and gallery wrapped each individually. Assembling
these individual images in 3 layers created this 6’X 5’ photo
wall sculpture. The sculpture was finished by painting it with
clear acrylic to create visible brush strokes. Since I will
individually produce your fine art sculpture, it can be custom
sized for your wall space. I can also use another image. Click on the image to get a closer
look. $4,000.
This image was on display at White Eagle Country Club,
Naperville, Illinois in May 2007 then in
the lobby of Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois as part of
their Healing Arts program through June 2008. It was displayed
at the Oakbrook Invitational Fine art show in September 2008.
It is currently on display at the Plainfield Township building,
22525 W. Lockport Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544 (tel)815 436

"
Red and Yellow Tulips" 16 feet wide x 6 feet high
I was challenged with the request for an image to fit this very
large space, 6 feet high by 16 feet wide. I decided that tulips
would be the perfect image for the hospital since they were a
bright and happy image. I shot this image as a

panoramic that
consisted of 14 shots that were stitched together to create this
wide angle image. I then cut it apart into 10 images each 36"
squares for printing on canvas. I gallery wrapped each
individually. The image was finished by painting it with clear
acrylic to create visible brush strokes on the flowers. Since I
will individually produce your fine art, it can be custom sized
for your wall space. Click on the image to get a closer look.
$3310. This image is on permanent display at Edward Hospital
Outpatient Center, Plainfield, Illinois as part of their Healing
Arts program and was temporarily displayed at the Oakbrook
Invitational Fine art show in September 2008.
Since this image contains such a great amount of detail, it can
be produced even larger. You can also purchase only one or more
36" squares for $331 each. That way you can produce your very
own tall or wide image to fit your space. The entire image can
also be produce smaller to fit your wall space or even a
different portion of the image can be used.

"
Dead River Falls"
Taken at Dead River Falls in Marquette, MI, this image is a
still life composite of the scene as I felt it. To properly
expose both the dark shadows and the brightly lit areas, two
images were taken and melded into one. The image is divided into
6 window panes, printed on canvas, and stretched onto 15"x50"
stretcher bars for a total width of 90". Each pane is framed in
a simple black frame. The entire image is painted with clear
acrylic to create visible brush strokes. This image as well as
most others can be sized to fit your wall space. Click on the
image to get a closer look. $1980. This image was on display at
White Eagle Country Club, Naperville, Illinois, then in the lobby of Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois
as part of their Healing Arts program through June 2008.
It was displayed at the Oakbrook Invitational Fine art show in
September 2008.

"
Red Daisy"
This image was taken at the University of Illinois spring flower
show. I enhanced the bold colors by creating the allusion that
it was painted with thick oils. The image is printed on canvas
as one large print and gallery wrapped on 66"x36" stretcher
bars. Finally, I painted the flower petals with clear acrylic to
add visible brush strokes. Click on the image to get a closer
look. This image as well as most others can be custom sized to
your wall space. $800. This image was on display at the
Naperville Art League, Naperville, Illinois, then in the
lobby of Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois as part of their
Healing Arts program through June 2008. It was displayed
at the Oakbrook Invitational Fine art show in September 2008.

"
Chicago Skyline thru the bean"
This image was taken downtown Chicago by shooting into the
kidney shaped stainless steel sculpture to capture the
reflection of the Chicago skyline. At the time the photo was
taken, the sculpture was in the process of being buffed to
create its highly reflective surface. On the left side of the
image, you can see an unbuffed portion remaining. The
scaffolding structure is visible on the right side of the image.
The large image is printed on canvas and gallery wrapped on
72"x30" stretcher bars. Finally, I painted the entire image with
clear acrylic to create visible brush strokes. Click on the
image to get a closer look. This image as well as most others
can be custom sized to your wall space. $800. This image is on
permanent display in the lobby of Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois as
part of their Healing Arts program.

"
Pink Rose Photo Sculpture"
My wife and I are constantly in search of perfect roses – she to
plant and I to photograph. I spotted this one at a garden center
while shopping for annuals. We purchased the rose bush and
brought it home where I immediately captured the image. This
image is printed on canvas in nine overlapping squares each
measuring 12”x12”. The individual images are gallery wrapped.
This approximately 3’x3’ photo wall sculpture was created by
combining those nine images. Finally, I painted it with clear
acrylic to add visible brush strokes. Click on the image to get
a closer look. This image as well as most others can be custom
sized to your wall space. $840. This image was on display at
the Naperville Art League, Naperville, Illinois, then in
the lobby of Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois as part of
their Healing Arts program through December 2007. It was
sold on Christmas Eve 2007 to a customer who saw the image at
the Oakbrook Invitational Fine art show in September 2008.
Another can be produced in about two weeks. Also another
image can be used with this technique.
"
Chicago in a bubble"
I love night photography as evidenced by the "Nocturnal Pinks"
image at the top. This image taken of the Chicago skyline was
reflected off a

kidney
shaped stainless steel sculpture. The "bubble" is the edge of
the sculpture so everything inside the bubble is mirrored and
everything outside the bubble is not reversed. This large image
is printed on canvas and stretched onto 48"x15" stretcher bars.
A thin black metal canvas frame is used. Finally, I painted the
outer sky and interior buildings with clear acrylic to create
visible brush strokes. Click on the image to get a closer look.
This image as well as most others can be custom sized to your
wall space. $300. This image was displayed at the Naperville
Art League, Naperville, Illinois, for their "Backwards /
Forwards" art competition in April 2007, then in the lobby of
Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois as part of their Healing
Arts program through June 2008. It was displayed at the
Oakbrook Invitational Fine art show in September 2008.

"
Controlled Burn of Yosemite"
This image was taken in 2003 when the National Park Service was
doing a controlled burn of Yosemite National Park. The haze in
the valley is part morning mist, but mostly smoke from the
burning. El Capitan on the left is partially obscured by the
smoke at the bottom. The image is divided into 4 window panes,
printed on canvas, and stretched onto 15"x40" stretcher bars for
a total width of 60". Each pane is framed in a simple black
frame. The entire image is painted with clear acrylic to create
visible brush strokes. This image as well as most others can be
sized to fit your wall space. $1020. This image is on permanent
display above my fireplace in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
