Custom Professional Large Format Printing
Have you taken a special photograph that you would like to see professionally printed for display? I will professionally edit and print your photo to your specifications. I will work with you to produce your photograph at its best – including editing, removing noise, and sharpening. Your photograph will be printed using fine art paper or canvas and inks that will last for 60 to 100 years on display. Depending on the quality of your photograph and the media you choose, your print can be up to 40”X120”.
I will give your work the same attention to detail that I give my own fine art images which were awarded first place at the Oakbrook Invitational Fine Art Show in Oakbrook, Illinois. I’m a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAAP) and I keep up with the latest editing and printing techniques. My work is displayed and sold at the Carriage Trade Art Gallery, 427 Coffin Rd, Long Grove, IL 60047, (847) 634-3160; Edward Hospital in Naperville IL; and Edward Hospital Outpatient Center in Plainfield IL. At the Plainfield location I have a 6 foot by 16 foot photograph on permanent display in the lobby. Click here to see it.
The process:
-
Send on disk or e-mail me your best image and explain what you would like to see. Is there a detail that you would like removed? Do you want the photo cropped to show a closer view of a portion of the photo?
-
I will give you an estimate of the cost. After your go-ahead, I will edit your photograph using the latest Photoshop.
-
I will send you a sample print on 8.5X11 paper for your approval.
-
I will then print and, optionally, enhance, your photograph to your specification. (See printing and enhancing options below.)
-
Depending on your choice of printing surface, your photograph can be sent to you at this point or, if you prefer, it can be stretched, mounted, matted, and/or framed. (See finishing options below.)
Photographs can be printed on:
-
Brilliance artist-grade fine art canvas
-
Enhanced fine art papers with either a satin or a matte finish
Enhancing options:
-
The prints on canvas will have a protective coating applied. Glamour™ II, a museum grade Giclée veneer, offers protection from light, water, moisture, airborne contaminants and even fingerprints. This is also an option for the art papers.
-
If you would like a very light brush stroke texture added to the canvas, then the Glamour™ II coating will be applied with a brush.
-
If you'd like your canvas print to have the same hand embellishment I add to my gallery prints, I'll hand paint on a clear acrylic gel that provides increased dimension and texture (requires stretching or mounting). This hand embellishment shows distinctive brush strokes the enhance the feel of the canvas print.
Finishing options:
-
You can have your canvas or art paper prints sent to you ready for you to frame.
-
Canvas prints can be stretched on standard sized canvas stretcher bars just like oil paintings. This process or mounting, below, is required if you choose hand embellishment.
-
All types of prints can be mounted to thick black art grade mounting board.
-
Any print can be framed.
